Mr. Pierce has over twenty years in the fixed income securities markets. He began
his career in Chicago as the Financial and Operations Principal for LaSalle Brokerage,
then moved into management at ABN/AMRO, formerly LaSalle National Bank.
In 1992, Mr. Pierce accepted a position with RW Smith as a municipal securities broker’s broker and worked in the New Jersey and Seattle offices over a period of six years. In 1998, he accepted a municipal trading and underwriting position with Zions Bank, where he specialized in national short-term trading/underwriting and product development.
Mr. Pierce was hired by Seattle-Northwest Securities to start an Intermountain West regional office for the firm as a national short-term trader and underwriter. He established a short-term presence for Seattle-Northwest, including the training of the institutional sales force on short-term product sales techniques. Mr. Pierce also implemented profitable new VRDN and Municipal Commercial Paper programs, thereby increasing departmental margins.
Mr. Pierce rejoined RW Smith in 2006 as the Chief Compliance Officer, accepting a promotion to Chief Financial Officer in 2007.
