Wayne Sorokowski Joins RW Smith

BELLEVUE, Wash. & FREEHOLD, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wayne Sorokowski joins RW Smith, as a situational broker in the firm’s Freehold, NJ, office effective immediately, according to Paige Pierce, Chief Executive Officer.

“Wayne brings 30 years’ experience and an in-depth knowledge of fixed income sales to this position. His expertise, coupled with his stature and numerous industry contacts, brings to RW Smith a comprehensive understanding of finance and institutional trading. We are pleased to have him on board,” said Ms. Pierce.

Previously, Mr. Sorokowski was Director of Fixed Income Sales at RBC Dain Rausher in Miami. From 1978 to 1991, he served as Vice President of Fixed Income Sales for Bache Halsey Stuart Shields until the purchase of Bache by Prudential Financial. He remained with Prudential until 2004 where he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Fixed Income Sales. Mr. Sorokowski began his securities career with Merrill Lynch in Miami in 1973 as an account executive.

Mr. Sorokowski, age 64, is a 1967 graduate of the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Economics. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Cape Kennedy where he served during the Apollo program until 1972.
