Inquiries
A customer inquiry is another category of broker's broker work that falls within the realm of situation trading. A retail or institutional investor indicates an interest in purchasing securities based on specific parameters; quantity, rating, state range/regional range, type of bond, coupon and/or maturity/call features. The dealer/bank shows the inquiry to the broker's broker who attempts to "fill" the inquiry; find bonds that satisfy the parameters of the inquiry.
